The highly anticipated Ryan Reynolds Detective Pikachu gets a new trailer. The second trailer for Detective Pikachu gives us the glimpse of story line. The movie is hugely based on a 2016 game of the same name. Detective Pikachu is directed by Rob Letterman, who is best known for Goosebumps, Shark Tale and Gulliver’s Travels. Ryan Reynolds is going full with his Detective Pikachu marketing.

The movie premise revolves around “In the Pokemon universe, Tim Goodman is a former Pokemon Trainer and the son of prominent detective Harry Goodman. When his father disappears in a car crash, Tim arrives in Ryme City and ends up meeting Detective Pikachu who was Harry’s former Pokemon partner. Tim is somehow able to understand the Detective, and they reluctantly team up to find Harry and uncover the mystery surrounding his disappearance. Chasing clues through the streets of Ryme City, the dynamic duo soon discover a devious plot that poses a threat to the Pokemon universe.”
Detective Pikachu is the first live-action Pokémon movie. The movie takes you to the wonderland of Ryme where Pokemon and Human live side by side. The first trailer for Detective Pikachu received positive review from Pokemon fans and regular movie goers. Fan-favorites like Charizard, Greninja and Jigglypuff seem to have been positively received. The positive response to the trailer is making Warner Brothers and Universal very happy.
Personally I am very excited to see Detective Pikachu. Ryan Reynolds is coming from the grand success of Deadpool 2. Ryan Reynolds has the capability to take the marketing campaign to whole different level.
Detective Pikachu will feature Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu, Justice Smith as Tim Goodman, Kathryn Newton as Lucy Stevens, Ken Watanabe, Karan Soni, Suki Waterhouse, Omar Chaparro, Ikue Ōtani and others.
Detective Pikachu releases in theaters on May 10 2019.
