Captain Marvel roars at the box office with 20.7 million at Thursday

Captain Marvel is the first female led superhero movie. The hype around this movie is phenomenal despite some controversy. Carol Danvers soars at the box office with 20.7 million dollar on Thursday. Captain Marvel is behind juggernaut Avengers Infinity War, The Dark Knight rises, Batman vs Superman, Age of Ultron, Black Panther and Captain America Civil War. It is the second biggest solo superhero movie after Black Panther.

Captain Marvel is shining at the international box office as well. The movie has earned 44 million in opening weekend in international market without China. The movie opened in China with gigantic 34.3 million surpassing Venom, Age of Ultron and Captain America Civil War. The movie is heading for a huge 175 million opening weekend at the international market. The movie has grossed 98.7 million dollar worldwide in just two days.

Captain Marvel is expected to make more than 125 million dollar at its opening weekend. Some analyst predict the movie to cross 150 million on its opening weekend. The movie has mostly received positive review from the critics and audience. Some crybabies have started down voting the movie in Rotten tomato and IMDB.

Looks like Captain Marvel is another big win for Marvel. Feige have clearly said Captain Marvel will play a big role in Avengers EndGame. Fans won’t have to wait for a long time to see Carol back in action. It will be interesting to see how Carol Danvers fits into Avengers group.
